21/06/2025 - Day - Alex Randall, Sam Hill, Mike Kushy 4.5 hrs
1 skip to surface
So eager was Sam to get back to digging after finding himself in Asia, he hadn't even been in the country 24hrs before being back in Templeton for a bonus session.
The enlargement to the narrow part of the rift below Echo had been very successful, it's not longer the narrowest bit. This did produce a lot of spoil, so the first 2hr were spent clearing this back to Echo, after which we got stuck into the massive spoil heap at the bottom. With only 3 we focused on the big rocks first, as they're easier for one person to carry up to Echo, then moved onto the smaller spoil, which was largely stacked in the rift for taking up to Echo when there's a bit more space.
Finally, the spoil from right at dig face was clear back, to join the pile at the bottom of the ladder.
Back at the 166' we loaded up the skip, and on surface emptied the North Pot mud out the dumper and unloaded our skip into it. Plan being to haul a couple more Tuesday to fill the dumper, before emptying ready for the North Pot team if needed.
